Compazine for neuralgia headaches ? wtf

Hmm, I'm just back from the ER, i got terrible headaches due to a few neuralgias which both happen to be on my head goddamnit.

The doc saw my older prescriptions of codeine and supeudol (oxy ir) and my empty fiorinal C 1/2 bottle that I wanted to get a refill for.

The idiot is so anti-opiate that he prescribed 10mg of Compazine and said goodnight.

So now I gotta wait for my neurologist appointment to get anything worthwhile.

Not neccessarily, but it might not help a ton. He might have just been giving you it to get you to sleep that night, suspecting you'd be back to normal in the morning. Good reasoning, actually.

I'm pulling this thread from the grave to announce that the bullshit named Stemetil (Compazine in the US) is now discontinued and not ever given anymore in Canada. Thank god, they must have been annoyed of all the people coming back to the ER in full akathesia attacks because of their incompetence so they just banned it. hah.
